Penny is a software developer who worked in the banking and entertainment industry for 10 years. She worked at the BBC creating software for the early internet connected TVs and set top boxes. The most exciting project she worked on involved an interactive Strictly Come Dancing prototype encouraging viewers to dance along to the steps on screen.
After having a break from work to raise a family, she joined Somewhere 2 Sing in 2017 and is now an integral part of the choir group and office team, building and supporting all the online systems that are used on a daily basis.
Penny loves to sing and can often be found with her head in the vocal guides. “Getting lost in song is the perfect way to switch off to the stresses of the world and lift the spirits.”
